I'm stoked! Updated!

Post by bruce » Mon Jan 11, 2010 10:22 am

Cuz this came home on Friday. It's been a LONG time getting it to this point, apart for over 4 years, 3 moves and now my remarriage. Many thanks to John and Cisco at US Car Tool! It wouldn't have gotten done without their help!

No, it's not 100% correct and gnats-ass perfect, but that's okay cuz I plan to drive the snot out of it! :D

So much for trading a Challenger for it....LOL

Congrats, Bruce. Is your new garage as big or bigger than the old one?

A Challenger? Whatcha got? Oh wait, that's sacrilege on a Road Runner site...

Garage is slightly smaller, but only because it doesn't have the attic over it. But this one is finished inside which has made it nice to hang my art, plaques and other assorted junk...

Are those cop wheels? It looks like you are keeping them because they have been painted to match the car. What size tires are you going to use?

Me Too!! Cop Wheels look great on all things MOPAR!! I just can't help myself with questions about wheel selection and tire size. My police wheels on my 78 Dodge pickup measure 7.5" wide with a set of calipers that came with a tire machine. The tire is still on the wheel, though. Everyone I've talked to has referred to police wheels as 7", so when I dismount/remount in the spring I will check without tires on the wheels for width"

Yep, I've had those cop car wheels on the car for YEARS, but I'm going to switch over to these 17s... :D

Steve, next time I move mine I plan to DRIVE it! Apart for over 4 years, yeah, it's been too long and it's too easy to forget how much FUN it was rather than how much WORK it is right now... Good luck on yours!

Bobbie bought those 17s for me, so there's no going back on that one! She snuck out and bought them at Carlisle last year after we had gone around looking at other cars and talking about what wheels I liked and which ones I didn't. I flat out told her I'd love some Torque Thrusts for my car but I couldn't afford them. Then she comes wheeling a wagon back with 2 17 x 8" and 2 17 x 7" TTs on it...

She told me, "these wheels come with ONE condition." and I thought, oh crap she's going to want some jewelry! But then she said, "the condition is, we're going to bring the car here NEXT year." I about lost it and told her that grown men weren't SUPPOSED to cry at car shows!
