Seeing how I MIGHT and I repeat MIGHT have it together and running the WEEK before Carlisle I think a trailer is most likely!

Bruce,

Not to mention, pulling it up there with the truck makes for a more comfortable ride for the wife and daughters which makes a much more comfortable trip for you too. ;)

Plus, with the truck, you've got room to haul home all the parts you buy. :)

LOL! I'm so spent out getting this thing together there won't be any $$$ left for parts up there and maybe not even for the motel room! Although I do think I need to get a "restoration quality" voltage regulator for it while we're there... just for grins of course. :D

I know I got a BOX of them around here someplace... oh wait, that was NOT a box of voltage regulators. Carry on! :D

I'm putting it together, yes, but I have the guys at US Car Tool doing the important stuff--brakes, front end, etc. And I didn't build the engine either, that was done by Steve Bowman of S&S Mopar. And FWIW, Mr. SmartyPants, I've taken this car apart and put it back together several times now (thanks mostly to deer strikes!), so it runs IN SPITE of me! :D

More progress made this weekend. Steve Bowman, my engine builder came down and we started the engine for the first time. It sounds fantastic! Now just waiting for the painter to finish the right fender, front and rear valances and the hood hinges. Don't know if it'll make Carlisle as I had hoped, but it won't be long now!

Great to hear your initial engine firing went well!

Bring the car and parts to Carlisle and we'll finish it there! You'll be cruisin' down the 'pike by Saturday night.

There's an idea! Actually getting brakes finished up now, aligned on Friday, painter says he's going to spray parts tomorrow or Friday, so it'll be a mad thrash to the end... Tom Hunsaker just reminded me via Facebook that there are only 18 days until Carlisle. Thanks Tom! Not only am I trying to finish this car, but we're also MOVING again And have to be out of the house by June 30. Yep, I'm crazy!
