Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I know the position of the decal on my 72 RR on the trunk lid is not right exactly. Does anyone know what the proper position of it should be?
see below:

I have tried to find out and get many different opinions on this.
Thanks, Greg

Re: Decal Position on 72 Roadrunner
This is factory location on my '71

That's what I've always seen although I've been told the location varied sometimes depending on the person doing the applying. If I'm not mistaken someone has posted factory illustration of the correct location in the past. Perhaps they'll see this thread and post it again.

The reproduction “circle bird†decals sold through Mopar Performance are accompanied with instructions indicating, for the standard Road Runner without V21/V25 stripes in 71 & 72’, it should be 1†up from the lower deck lid edge and 1†inboard of the right edge. Here is a link to a past discussion related to that subject.

"I have the engineering drawings for 71-72, and they do not show the GTX emblem at all (unless I'm just missing that page)"
That's a quote from that thread by Eric. I KNEW someone here had those drawings!
