Sort of a bummer today...
We had the perfect day today in N.Y. for working on the car. Overcast and cloudy, temps in low 50's. I put a super detail job on my RR in preparation for its winter storage. Nice sudsy wash and dry, followed by a coat of polish. All the metal was cleaned up, interior vacuumed, upholstery cleaned and protected. Wheels and engine bay detailed. Nice fresh tank of fuel, and some Stabil. I've just got to get some mothballs going on the interior and sprinkled around the garage floor. It's done for the year.

Putting it in hibernation sucks but makes getting it fired up in spring that much sweeter.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder they say.
Still I wish I lived in AZ or Fl sometimes. Like Jan, Feb, March!

Yeah, I said sometimes! LOL
Anyway I get to retire May 31, 2010.
I hope to be bi coastal in 5 yrs.
Ohio in spring, summer, and fall. Warmer winter location to be determined!
I'll get a second Mopar for the winter location project.

I put dryer sheets in mine for the winter, keeps the mice out and smells good, give that a try. Happy Holidays

I put the moth balls in small plastic drink bottles like milk bottles with large mouth openings. Punch or drill holes in them, more holes the better. Put one under hood, one or two in trunk, one under each seat, one on package tray.
I used to just put the balls on the trunk floor and on the front and rear carpets. The bottles are easier to remove in the spring.

I'll try the dryer sheets. Thanks. I usually put a few pie tins of mothballs onto the floors. Around the perimeter of the garage I toss a bunch also. Don't need no creatures taking up residence in my ride.
