Road Runner Nest

Hello everyone found this place randomly on google.

My name is simon im 26 from the uk i own a 1972 plymouth roadrunner 340 stroked to 416 4 speed manul in origional richard petty blue.

I have started stripping for the 2nd time in as many years for light body work and the final stages of the mechanical rebuild.It currently does the 1/4 in 13.4@101mph

As said this was an origional 340 4 speed recently been stroked to 416 it is 60 thou over and have 11.1 comp ,rear end was a 8 3/4 with 3,2;3s now with 3,9;1s.

The plans are and i currently dont have the specs,racing heads and cam,high rise inlet manifold with twin 600 hollys,either rebuild the A833 or buy a 5 speed,new drag shocks and suspension,disc brakes etc,final thing is to strip and fix the bottom half of the body and underseal.

I am hoping to have the car back on the road for around june/july time so i can test and tune at our mopar nationals at santa pod here in the uk,early estimates from the people who are supplying the parts [hughes engines] and some race car builders here are saying high to mid 11s,i would be happy however with a low 12 or even just to have the thing back on the road

1. it must cost you an absolute fortune to keep/run that thing in england
2. what exhaust is that?
3. Do grannies faint when you drive by? You stick out like a bloody sore thumb.

1.Actually its not as bad as you might think,apart from fuel there are plenty of parts suppliers and second hand parts,and occasionally i share crates with other people ordering from the states.

2.They are standard 2.5 inch [with rust and weld spots] with 3 inch chrome tips,to be honest though since then i have chopped them back to behind the rear axle,for obviouse race advantage purposes.I am however tempted to have a custom made side exit system made
