Looks to be a 318 car? It COULD have an 8-3/4 but more likely would have the little rear end (which looks like an undersized Dana). The little rear end wouldn't be worth the trouble.

It looks to be either a 73 or 74 roadrunner that had a very bad roll over It looks like an 8 3/4 rearend but hard to tell because the car is in a bad spot with in the yard ( way back in the woods) it does have some parts worth getting like chrome etc but a posi rear end is what I am seeking.

Oh yeah, it's a '74. Tough to tell in the yard whether it's a suregrip or not, as there are no markings that will tell you. But an 8-3/4 is worth the trouble of getting out, suregrip or not...

I think I have found a forgotten goldmine. This is an old wrecking yard from 20 years ago that is no longer in the business and everyone has forgotten. The owner has a house there but way back in the woods are a ton of old cars and sitting beside this roadrunner is a 70 dart and 72 satellite among others. He said I could buy the rear end for $200.00 sounds like a good deal if it a posi. Already took the 72 satellite badges and chrome offered to buy them but he just told me to take them for free.

Cool, I love places like that! Used to be one like that around here until the county and the EPA-types got all over the owner and forced him to clean up the place. Bye-bye to the only yard that had any old Mopes worth a flip.

Problem we had last year here in Canada was the price of scrap metal went through the roof so if you had old cars laying around the scrap metal places would give you at least $800.00 for a car. Now it is really hard to find parts the well has dried up and most prople that have parts want outrageous pricies for them

Mines gotta 8 1/4.

I was looking up info about them yesterday because i wanted to know how reliable they are.I read on numerous sources that they are good rears for 350 hp and under.

idk why people say they're so weak...mine's been behind a HP 440 for probably 20 years and now it's a bit hotter, 400ish HP and no problems yet

Well i guess the rears condition plays a huge factor too.Was yours rebuilt or cleaned?I was looking into it because im putting a mild cam in my 318,i know its not gonna be a huge change but i may try doing a burnout(im so iffy when it comes to that stuff).I just wanted to know more about it.

I Live in London Ontario, I think the front fender is good but will confirm as I am going there this week end to see what else is lying around. Now that the cooler weather is here I can get into a few areas that the bushes prevented me from reaching cars. Not to mention the mosquitos
