After I started to pull the heater box apart, I found this little surprise

He was quite mummified!
Peek a boo! (look in the blower wheel)

He certainly tried to get out, note the bite marks on the plastic wheel! Poor little critter

This is where he probably lived before tragedy struck

Wonder if there was ever another Broadcast sheet copy in there?

My GTX has A/C. I found that O'Reilly has a heater core for 49.99 (cheaper than my rad shop could fix it). I'll be picking it up today. The A/C condenser is getting a lookover at the local radiator shop, they're also dipping the gas tank.
I think when I put the halves of the heater box back together, i'm going to RTV the joint. the lower edge had this ultra thick tar like stuff just covering the bottom seam...I think it was a bandaid to keep the interior dry.

I've got an A/C car. unless it's the same as the E-body set...
I wrote him about the set, and he's only got A/C B-bodies up to '70. the E-body kit looks good, but isn't the same.

Need a gasket set for 71-74’ b-body A/C housing? Jim over at
Detroit Muscle Technolgies makes them.
Highly recommend, I used quite a few of his gasket sets on my 72' RR/GTX project.

Funny...I just ordered from them around noon.
I'm going to go back for their firewall and exterior seal sets...
