Anyone looking for a GTX ?

Post by NCbluebird » Fri Sep 11, 2009 10:38 am

I found this ad on cragslist here in Charlotte NC. Guy claims to be selling a 72 GTX/RoadRunner 1 of 219

Don't know if it's true or not, but I thought I'd share as the price was low

http://charlotte.craigslist.org/cto/1368834362.html

1972 Plymouth GTX / Roadrunner. 1 of 219 made with 440, 4 speed, Dana rear! ALL numbers matching! Excellent shape and ready for her resto. New tires, solid floors, all original to this point. Only 74K original miles too! Asking price $9250. Open to listening to offers only if someone is SERIOUS and has CASH in hand. Come look and bring your trailer.....................803-319-3017

yeah I thought it sounded too good as well, but I felt I should share it here just in case anyone was lookin.

If someone finds out more, or if it's truly in the Charlotte area I would be glad to go look at the car and give you my opinion on it.

my car was originally Sherwood Green (now Teal) and strangely, the only other '71+ GTX I remember ever seeing was also dark green.

The original color is nice in a subdued elegance way but imo these cars are "out there" and should have flashier paint
