1971 Satellite Image

Post by 1972RM23 » Fri Aug 21, 2009 4:12 pm

Image

Finally, twenty years later, another Plymouth – a ‘71 Satellite – received a much different treatment. No, it wasn’t restored. No, it wasn’t photographed in a professional studio. Instead, it was rendered in 3d software by 3D artist David Cathro of Karlstad, Sweden. That’s right – the above image is not a photograph of an actual car. Tarantino fans will know why he chose a four-door Bahama Yellow Satellite.

Wow! That's amazing! Very cool work there.

A bit of trivia, it was the very happy owners of a 71 Satellite 4dr that set in motion the events that eventually gave birth to the Nest. :) Friends up the street from my parents purchased a B5 4dr brand new in early 71, and told my parents how happy they were with the car and the dealership. That led my parents to head up to the same dealership and purchase the 71 Satellite (A93 coupe) that we had until 1985 - and cemented my love for the 71s!
