New Guy here
Just found this place and thought I better introduce myself. Picked up my RR 19 years ago while in highschool. Now its just come out of a 9 yr hibernation. Well actually I had to wake it up with a new 440, originally 400. It's so good to have it on the road again. Just took it on a 1000 mile weekend to Iola, WI. Ran like a champ! Here is a picture, since most threads are worthless without them.

Re: New Guy here
Thanks.
17" Torqu Thrust M (knockoffs). Tires are 245/45 front and 275/40 in back. Would have like a bit more sidewall but for the price this was the way to go for me, plus it keeps it very close to stock height.

Welcome to the Nest!
Looks like a pretty cool ride. It's awesome that you've been able to hang on to your car since high school. I know there are more than a few of us who wish we still had our high school or college rides.

7 or 8" wide? Got a bigger picture? I'm going through the wheel/tire thing right now and want to make sure I get it right.72RDRNR wrote:Thanks.

Re: New Guy here
8" wide up front with 5" backspacing and 9" in back with 6" Backspacing- IIRC. there is room to go wider and I've seen/heard of 295. I got these last year and at that time all of the boards/forums I found no one could help me. So I measured best I could and kept it conservative, I had some old school MT (12" + wide) sportsmans that didn't fit inside the wheel well so it was jacked all the way up on airshocks. I figured the back ones wouldn't last too long anyway
I can measure how much more room I have in the back tonight if you want.

Let me double check that before it becomes gospel. I remember thinking the fronts were good but the back I was leary of, the salesguy guaranteed they would fit(they will say anything to make the sale). But he was right, they fit with room to spare. And I believe both have 0 offset.

Can't believe I missed the fact that you're from Des Moines. Used to get up there quite often when I lived in Iowa. But I got to Knoxville more often. Damn, I miss that place!
