Here is the latest series of pics on my 71's progress. I got the Grabber painted and installed Tuesday. I bought that Grabber from Mike at BEA Mopar. It is a great quality piece, I am totally thrilled with it as well as the entire project. Its came a long way in a year.......

Looks great Barry. Love the color. I like seeing the different colors on Mopars. What paint did you use on the bubble?

Yeah, the bubble looks really good. I've never been happy with mine--it has too much SHEEN. The paint guy didn't put enough "flattening agent" into the black for mine. Like I said on Moparts, the car looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it at Farmington. Or will you have it at the Rock too?

I am going to the Rock, but not sure if we will bring the car or not. We have a vacation planned for Myrtle Beach on Monday, and since Rockingham is half way for us, we may just start our vacation a couple days early and leave straight from the Rock to go to the beach. But that is not set in stone, I may HAVE to bring the car then just take it back home............

Oh yea, I used the PPG DCC paint with flattening agent in it. I rednecked a dry spray technique that gave it a great rough texture......I am digging it!!

Well, let's hear about your redneck technique. Enquiring minds want to know. Do you remember the ratios you mixed?

I mixed the ratio per PPG specs for the DCC, but the "redneck" technique is a dry spray. The first 2 coats were sprayed like normal and on the last coat I turned the pressure up on the gun to about 45 and held the gun about 24 inches from the surface and just randomly sprayed around.....it turned out great!

Do you have any pics how the scoop is attached to the hood?
