It's been fun, but I have a couple of people coming to look at the Satty this weekend. I listed it for what I felt was a fair $5200 on CL the other day. I like this car quite a bit but a friend's dad is unloading his '73 Challenger and is offering me a rather good deal. It also doesn't have anywhere near as much stuff to do and is probably a fair bit more as it sits (doesn't need paint, interior work, etc.). Suffice it to say I wouldn't be money out of pocket if I get ballpark what I'm asking for my '71 Satellite.
I'll keep everyone posted as to what transpires. If I do wind up with an E-Body, it won't mean I'm out of the Mopar picture, at least.
Might be selling after all...

Do what you need to do, Billzilla. You wont be out of the Mopar picture IMOP, its still a Mopar. Now, if you're getting rid of the Satty for say a Chevette or Vega, then we'd have to talk....LOL
BTW, I saw a real nice Chevette the other day, no rust on it. Glad to see that my eye sight has'nt failed me, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it...LOL

Re: Might be selling after all...
Got an offer for $4000 - which is $500 more than I paid last year and not counting the redone interior, new rear drums and other work. I think I'd take $4800 at this point just to jump into a very clean Challenger, but I think that's pretty low.
I suppose the economy is hurting the market.

I spotted your car on craigslist BEFORE seeing your post on RR Nest. I thought to myself, I hope he didn't hit hard times, but understood if you did. I'm glad to hear that wasn't the reason your selling. Yes, the car prices are down right now. If the Challenger is that clean, and its a great deal, don't let a few hundred dollars let you miss a great chance to own the car you really want. Good luck either way.
