Break out the violins

Went looking for 71-72 Road Runner Satellite parts today...By word of mouth I chased down this car. Obviously, it is a '70. What a sad sight. :( I'm glad it's not crushed, because it represents what was once a great car. However, there is really not much left. Beyond the remaining sheetmetal where the floors once were was a cold view of the ground below. Standing away from it, I could hear some cool 70s rock tunes playing..glass pack mufflers baffling a big cam...maybe someone peeling a wheel. The carcass of a 70 Road Runner. What makes me sad is this car really no longer exists. The last ghost it had to give is when someone pirated the vin numer from the dash and took the fender tag. Though it had nothing to lend me, the day was kind of a success just to see this car.

*BTW...it's not a convertible...someone salvaged the roof.. :)

That was not a Road Runner. Judging from the remaining stripe and the blacked out tail panel, it was a GTX.

In the background, next to the white Camaro, that appears to be a '69 Plymouth B-body... maybe even another GTX.

Then of course you have the 64-66 Barracuda right next to the 70 GTX.

Interesting.

I really thought about that might be a GTX stripe...I ddn't know GTX tail panels were blacked out. Good to learn. The other B body was just as thrashed. Looked like the same guy owned both. There were some parts inside it from the blue car.
