Hemming Muscle magazine
Hi Guys,
Opened my mailbox yesterday and found the Hemmings muscle magazine with and awesome 72 RR on the cover. It looks just like mine except it is petty blue.
That is an awesome car. Has anyone else seen the magazine?

Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
Just got it today. It is a beautiful car. The owner has a 1972 B5 440 4 speed roadrunner as well. I am thinking that the cars in that magazine are being airbrushed. That 2 page spread looks to good to be true, look at the window trim to see what I mean.

Congrats to our resident 71-72 Guru, Eric, they mentioned you a couple of times in the article.

Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
I hope they didn't use the word guru? I hope not!......just like the rest of you guys, I have some knowledge of these cars and I'm happy to share what I do know

I'll read the article again tonight, but I'm pretty sure they referred to you as a "71-72 Roadrunner guru". I would tend to agree. If GG can be called a guru, I think you would qualify too.

Eric, I apologize. They referred to you as an expert, not a guru. My bad......

Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
Well, the writer of that article sent me a complimentary copy of the magazine and it arrived today. Nice looking car...one I'd love to own. I don't recall seeing any photos of the car when I was helping with info. I've always thought the best color on a 72 runner was petty blue! Also looks like a good magazine. I'd never looked through one before. Really like the quality of their photography. It was interesting that they chose to feature a driver quality car and then took close up photos of the engine compartment and an aftermarket carburetor. Is that normally the type of car they feature? I gave the writer info about the roadrunnernest in hopes he would pass it on to the owner. Who knows, maybe he'll show up on here some time!

Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
I really like my subscription to this mag. I like the variety of cars they feature. It's a well done magazine that tries to get the facts right and not embellish the truth. They have no problem featuring driver quality cars of all makes as well as concours cars. Best muscle car mag on the market in my opinion. I'd like to see MCG, Mopar Action, and Mopar Muscle merge. Together they could feature the quantity of cars MCG carries in each issue without all of the poor writing style, along with the quality photos from Mopar Action and the tech articles from Mopar Muscle. The combo of all three would equal what Hemmings does each month.
Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
I went to the bookstore today and they had December's copy of Hemming's Muscle Cars.
Is this January's issue .... I really want to buy it!
Someone post a picture ... or two?!

I've been wanting to see a pic at least of the cover...found one, but it's real small...Awesome car! Hope I find the magazine...looks like you probably can get it online at their website, which is where I found the pic...1972RM23 wrote:I went to the bookstore today and they had December's copy of Hemming's Muscle Cars.

Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
I've been getting this magazine since it started and it is very good! I wasn't too happy about the "take it or leave it" looks, as the writer described it, of our cars. Most people that see my car, even in its current deplorable state, comment on "it's nice lines"...
Re: Hemming Muscle magazine
You have to admit though that most mopar guys either love or don't care at all for the body style. Doesn't seem to be much in between.....
