Stacked Mopars

My daughter, who lives down the street from me was putting new carpet in and needed garage space for all the furniture, so she brought her 2006 Charger down to my house. I put it in the garage with my Road Runner by simply putting one on the lift and running the other one underneath it.

I was really amazed how close they both are in size! The only real difference is the Road Runner sits higher off the ground than the Charger and when it is on top, the suspension hangs down further.

I guess the idea of the B Body size is truly timeless as these two cars are 34 years apart in age!

Cool......Lift. I wish I had one. I would have to change my garage door set up. Who knows my ceiling might not be high enough.

I have 12 1/2 foot ceilings on that part of the garage which allows me to have a "clear floor" lift as the equalizing cables go across the top. They make a model that runs those across the floor. This means you have to move over a slight ramp between the posts but they are only about six feet high.

Ceiling height is another matter. If you have eight foot ceilings you really can't get the car up high enough to be worth the cost.

The other side of the garage has a sloping ceiling to allow me to get up onto the roof of the RV when it's in the bay on that side.

The garage was designed and built specifically to (a) hold the motor home and (b) accommodate a clear floor lift.

That is cool! but don't you worry about dirt and oil from the car above dripping on the car below?

Naw...neither of them "drip anything"....and they are both kept pretty clean. (I taught my Daugher that a clean car is a happy car!)

Now if it came to my POS Mazda pickemup truck...well I park it over an empty oil drain pan! Woo Hoo!
