It was bound to happen with prices for muscle cars shooting up so quickly between 2003 and 2007. Real estate prices & low interest rates gave people lots of borrowing power for buying a third "toy" car.

Barrett Jackson-style hype "BUY IT NOW-they're not building any more!" didn't help either.

I imagine a lot of people are shaking their heads why they paid $15,000 for a completely rusted out, non-running '69 Charger with a 318.

I am from Canada and we generally haven't been hit with serious decline, economically speaking, but we have certainly been hit with gas prices going up almost 50% since February.

I went to the local Mopar show and there were a lot fewer cars this year.

A Roadrunner that was for sale last year for $15,000 obo was now down to $10,000 obo this year.

I sold my Road Runner in May of '07. Although it was tough to give it up, in hindsight, I sold it at the right time.
