P+G has an adapter for E bodies that allows you to install a speaker along with the defroster. It's not perfect for us, but I installed one, and it's okay.

One question: whats a deogger? It sounds like something I remember vaguely from Dungeons and Dragons . . .
You open the door and come face to face with a huge green Ogre . . .(Shrek?). . .
I pull out of my bag a Deogger. . . and turn him into a gingerbread man and eat his ass. . .

Ok it was a long long time ago but my '71 charger 500 had a rear defroster that looked just like that but I dont remember any kind of adapter for it. It had dual rear speakers and while the driver side one just mounted to the rear deck as normal the passenger side one mounted under the intake housing for the defroster.

This is what I used in mine. Like I said, it's for E bodies, but with a little finaglin', it works okay for me.

Well I'm not sure if that adapter is what like my car had or not. Back when i had my '71 charger 500 I wasn't into fender tag decoding and such so I got now idea its options except what I remember was on the car.
She had a rear defrost and the way it was mounted it drew air in from above the passenger rear speaker but I don't remember an offset like that adapter you picture seems to have. Been over 20+ yrs so.... I know for sure the motor, hose and plastic defrost vent in the pic of your trunk looked the same.

My car originally had just one dash speaker. When I wanted to put speakers in the back, I looked under there and saw that the defogger was mounted in the speaker cut-out. That caused me to buy the adapter.
