Would you trade a project Satty for a project Charger of roughly the same shape - of the same 71-74 range? Just curious.

I wouldn't, just because I don't find the '71-'74 Chargers as good looking as the '71-'74 Plymouths. :D

Nope, I could have bought a charger in nicer shape then my Satellite for cheaper but I passed it by because I wanted the Plymouth.

I was thinking the same thing - but I was wondering if the Chargers aren't worth more? Or not?

If it was the right dodge I might, like a R/T,ralley, bee or a 500. But I like the Plymouths a ton more, so it would be a really long thought decision.

nope...i do like the charger (mainly the hidden headlights (considering ways to do this to my satty), the interior sail panels, the side window louvers, and the taillights on the R/Ts, but they aren't smooth and don't have near the styling as the 71 plymouths...about the only thing i'd change on mine is a 72 rear bumper, but i actually like the 71 cuz if i ever go back to duals, i'm going to do cuda/challenger rectangular tips 8)

My 1st car was a '71 charger 500 and there was nothing special about it. 383 / 2 barrell carb / 727 tranny / 3:23 8 and 3/4 rearend..... I was a good looking car but not nearly as good looking as the '71 satellite. I always thought the 500's were kinda rare until I read they made over 10,000 of them in '71. I did like the tail lights on my '71 and I think the '71 had the best grill out of the '71-'74 chargers.

My choice would be keep the salty.....
