Which lug nuts for Weld wheels?

Post by patrick » Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:32 pm

I have a set of Weld Rodlites on my 1973 Plymouth Road Runner and am missing a few lugs. Since driving with three to four lug nuts on each wheel almost bothers me as much as the fact the previous owner cheaped out in the first place on such nonsense, I really want to make life right.

I presume it's 1/2-20 RH for the thread size, but what is the shank diameter (0.745 in. or 0.687) and what is the shank length (1.380 in. or 1.750 in.)?

Anyway, is Summit the best (read: cheapest) place for genuine Weld (or Cragar I suppose would be the same thing) lug nuts?

Thanks for everyone's input!

i believe that each wheel type has a recommended type of lug nut (acorn, ss, ss/t, open end, etc.) it should say in the catalog, or if you call them, they should be able to tell you, which style is the correct style for that particular wheel
