you guys know a reliable source for production numbers on SSP's? those of us who love them love them, but i think the mopar community in general kind of overlooks them as "less than". i have loved these cars for many years and have owned several 71 to 74 satellites, birds and one GTX, but i've never been able to find any numbers for SSP's. my current driver is a P code 400 / 4speed numbers matching with the fender tag, so i know it came this way. i've seen a few 71 and 72 4 speed SSP's, but this is the only 73 i've ever seen, and i'm curious how many were made. does anyone here have one of these? it's a way cool playtoy, but man is it ever thirsty!

is that from one of his books? wow! it's hard to imagine the possibility of having one of 20!

like i said before, i've been lookin', lustin' and drivin' these babies since i was 16 and i'm about to turn 42 and i've never seen another one. even if the 20 isn't accurate, i'm sure it's a very low number indeed. i don't think there were a heck of a lot of 400 / 4 spd road runners in 73, let alone SSP's. every one of my 73/74 birds has been a 318 car at birth, but were upgraded to 340s in my possession.
