Road Runner Nest

I just got a call from my neighbor up north. He told me the roof caved in. This could be bad. There are a nmber of vehicles in there. 92 ss pick up, 68 chev stepside, 2 Harleys some 4 wheelers, our sleds,my cherokee (just finished a bunch of work on this) and a 56 Nomad. Good thing the mopar is in the barn with the vette and the sho. I put all the good stuff in the garage to keep it safe (bad choice)We just got in from working out of town for a month. Insurance is a blessing. Well I'm off To enjoy my weekend.

Well we got everything out of the garage. We got really lucky as far as damage to the cars and other toys inside. I have a ton of pics. of the carnage that I will post when I get back home. A few things were destroyed but nothing major. I hope this snow melts and it warms up so the new shop can be built. It's gonna be cool!

Yea, a new shop. ( Hell yes!)The only draw back is that it,s 200 miles away from home. That will be a good thing in the future but not for right now. I spend too much time away from home as it is now. My kid will get more use from it then me. He comes up here the most, and all the cars that were in there were his. All my crap is in the barn, except for the ATV's and sled. We will have a top notch building with all the bells and whistles. I'm hoping for a two story building, 60X 50, with heat and water. And when it's done I told my son that I would have the only key for it. Thats when he said "cool then you can take care of the hot tub". This is what I have to put up with from a Chevy lover.

heres some of the pictures from the cave in. One really cool thing is, I had a nos 72 440 hi po carb in a box that got crushed and the carb got away unscathed. As a matter of fact all the mopar stuff I had in there was spared. Minor damage to the Nomad roof and the step side roof. The SS pick up got a few scratches. I lost an arc welder due to h2o damage and some other tools. the harley's were ok but the atv's sustained some damage. Insurance covers everything except the cars.I hope this link works it's the first time I tried this.

Thank god the nomad survived!! Also the SS Truck look ok as well. The real lame part about this whole thing is that looked to be a very nice shop to start with, it would have been better if the shop was kinda crappy and you would get a nice new shop.

Yea it was about 35 years ago. Got some plans for a ultimate shop. a two story beauty with lift, new compressor, new welder, heated, ect. I'm going to build a rotisery as my first project. Insurance finally paid for itself.
