Just putting these out there in case someone is looking to buy this car...
Thanks to 71440gtx for alerting me to this one.
There's a 71 GTX advertised on moparts in the B body cars for sale section. He lists the fender tag, and MANY of the codes are incorrect. It looks like it could be a genuine GTX, but at the very best, it has an incorrect reproduction fender tag. I've asked the seller for a photo of the fender tag. If I'm wrong, I'll post an update for everyone.
VIN# RS23U1E108295

I decoded it but not knowing it as much as some of you most of it makes sense but a few things don't. I can see how some of the codes might have been read wrong or typoed but one or two of them don't make sense even if read wrong or typoed.

Care to clue me in by pm or however?

Correct me if I am wrong, but NO Bodies were made in the LA plant, hence the "E" in the VIN...

I guess I got a reason to be a bit biased towards the ones with a R in the vin........ 8)

I just hope those buggers in Windsor put more than 1 broadcast sheet in them.
