This subject can be polarizing to say the least. He has his share of detractors and he has his supporters. His "White Books" have made decoding Mopars available to the mainstream, so I'll give him that. That said, there are any number of knowledgeable guys in this hobby who probably know as much or more than he. He just has the reputation.
He does have the reputation of catering to the higher end--hemi cars, 1 of 1s, cars that trade hands at B-J for big $$$. Therefore it seems he only responds to big bucks guys, cars, and inquiries.
Finally, yes, he also has the rep of being unresponsive, fraught with procrastination, taking too long to give you his service after he's taken your money, unwilling to share info without getting paid, etc, etc. FWIW, I once emailed him about my '69-1/2 Super Bee 440+6 car. I'm STILL waiting for an answer to that email. Good luck!

See ive been iffy about emailing him for quite some time, its just recently i was told that i didnt know what i was talking about because i said that this guy must be getting his info from somewheres and that id gradually find his source/Wich i think is true,i mean his customers have got to spill the beans, and then its all over the internet.
All i know is that id rather not know or find out later on then to pay for an email containing digits he could generously tell me.and if thats his means of income..wow

Post what you'd like to know here... you might be in for a surprise. Couldn't hurt, we won't bill you.
BTW, I once attended one of his seminars at a show where they paid for his appearance to do his seminars. He was very friendly and helpful during the seminar, fwiw.
You might try that approach too--find a show where he's doing a seminar and ask your question then. He'd be more likely to answer it that way. He was also willing to admit when he did NOT have the answer/info to a question someone had.

I had GG decode 3 of my cars in the early to mid 80's. He did a great job and I was truly satisfied with the entire transaction, BUT with that being said, IMO he has gotten TOO DAMN BIG FOR HIS OWN BRITCHES in the past several years and needed a slap down to reality, which I feel that he has been getting lately.
The cars that I had decoded were:
my 71 RR 383 auto with Hemi suspension and other goodies 1 of ..... alot
my 69 Charger R/T SE 440 4 speed car (dana car) 1 of 819
my 70 340 4 speed Cuda Convertible. 1 of 88
I hope that someone can give you the answer on your $11 question....Best of luck to ya....

I suppose if you cornered him at one of those conventions and a couple guys held him down, you might squeeze some info out of him. Don't bet on it when it comes to anything much above '71 though. I emailed him wanting to know how many 73 Runners were made with full vinyl tops, never heard back.

He's been into Mopars for years. It used to be easy to talk to him over the phone. Back in the day he helped me out a few times and it didnt cost me a thing. One of the times I made out like a bandit on his advice. I agree now it's much harder to get answer He got caught up in the top end cars. Yes he is too big for his britches. There is allot of info. here and other places on the net. If I was going to spend big bucks on a hemi or 6 pac I would get all the info. I needed here.

He did work for me and I had to keep calling to make sure it got done on time. Over the past year or so his wife died and had been going through a lot of medical problems and I think some of the delays and be contributed to this. I think that when Mopars weren't as popular, he had more time to dedicate to his business. We must keep in mind that it is his business and he is entitled to get paid for his services. With that being said, I think he needs to do a better job of following up with getting his work done. I would think that he could make a lot of money if he sat down at his computer and really got some work done. Although, he never charges you until he actually completes his work for you. As far as the high end cars go, I'm sure they pay better than a measely decoding. I'm sure personal appraisals, etc. are his bread and butter.

I emailed pictures, a copy of my broadcast sheet and all that jazz. Asked what it would cost me to find out the production numbers, no response.
I joined this sight because I was approached at the Nats by ether Bruce or Eric " I can not remember who". The were really nice, and show a strong interest in my RL Satellite. They made me feel just as important to the hobby as a High dollar car owner would be.
One of the Boys.!!
So with that, I say thanks for this sight, and for all the support given to us Little guys.

Musta been Eric cuz I've never been to the Nats. Wow, THERE is a dangerous admission on a Mopar site!
