Ugh, traction bars and a black engine bay on a Mopar. Chevy lovers should really leave our beloved Mopes alone!!!

i have an idea like that, but its not gonna stop at making the vents..Im gonna make a whole air breather so when the hood shuts chambersextended from the breather reach out and seal against the bottoms of the hood scoops.
If you have your head sideways,i understand.

OK now you went and done it.
Yes i have a black engine bay and i am going to tell you why.Pay attention!
If you race your car alot or just work on it constantly your engine bay takes a beating.changing headers, heads, pulling motors etc. produces lots of scratches, nicks, spills and things like that. Now black is a lot easier to touch up every week than pretty blue laquer.Maybe when i am old and content with just looking at my car i will repaint the engine compartment blue, but until then black will do.
Oh did i mention i have traction bars?yep.....some of us with engines powerful enough to wind up the rear springs do need some help back there.Although slapper bars are 70s technology they work decent(pinion snubber did not) This year will upgrade to caltrac bars.
Chevy lover huh......Ok meet me on telegraph road at midnight, i will give you a lesson in traction bars

Sigh, I wasn't lookin' to pic a fight.

It's YOUR car, do what you like to it... As for traction bars, read your Mopar Chassis book.
