Carbon Fiber Pistol Grip?

Post by patrick » Mon Oct 22, 2007 11:22 pm

I've seen an occasional Mope with a carbon fiber pistol grip shifter. I think on one with a Keisler, and another that was custom. Anyone know if I can buy just the carbon fiber pistol grip that screws on? Don't want to replace my 4-speed with anything else (not yet anyway), but my grip is shot, so I want to spice it up. I tried Gunslinger's web site, but didn't see it.

Yeah, I saw those handles, pretty cool. My eye is on the all-chrome one, but I think it might be too much chrome. My handle is currently aerosol-sprayed undercoat (black texture) because it was so slimy and polished from years of shifting, lol, so I may just stick with that, since it has seemed to hold up well, but carbon would be awesome, and then I could mold the stock dash bezel in carbon (custom) to tie it all in.

The Gunslinger has 'em (carbon fiber pistol grips), just hasn't updated his web site in a few years. Hell yeah... Mine should be here next week.

Leather Grips

Post by Pistol Gripper » Thu Oct 25, 2007 8:07 am

I picked up a set of plastic grips for cheap and cut some leather from an old jacket and glued it on using spray snot. The leather was thin, so it wasn't hard to smooth it out. Looks good and feels comfortable. Best thing, I can recover it any time if the mood strikes me.
