Stolen trailer

Post by bruce » Sun May 20, 2007 1:58 pm

From my own freakin' backyard. I know I'm an idiot that I didn't lock it up, but they had to back up into my own yard to get it, in a neighborhood full of houses...

Kaufman 18', full diamond-plate deck, dovetail, slide-in ramps, break-away kit and spare tire.

No, the Chrysler was no longer on it. If it HAD been they probably wouldn't have stolen it! That car was an organ donor that gave up its 383 and 727 for a '68 Road Runner. The trailer does indeed have it's serial number engraved on the tongue. IF it's ever found...

It's probably sitting out somewhere....I'd be driving around the area looking in driveways and back yards.

It evidently happened during the day when everyone is gone. The trailer was actually parked closer to my neighbor's house than my own. She noticed it was gone, but just figured I had it out using it someplace, an entirely logical assumption on her part...

As for drivng around, you can be sure I am and will... My bike is good for exploring like that. And the local police are about as helpful as Barney and Gomer without Andy to steer them straight!

Hey I just noticed something- is it required that you license your trailer in Ohio? If so they will have to take it out of state, because as soon as someone trys to register it- it'll pop up as stolen on the dmv computers

I actually have a title as well as registration for this trailer. And as said, the serial number is engraved on the tongue. Funny thing is, my tag was already expired. They'll just run it on my tag or steal another plate... I don't think they'll ever try to register it in their name.
