okay, thought i'd see what everyone thought...
so the satty was runnin fine on friday, but on saturday it was a no-go...this was about a month ago...

i have power going to my coil, but no spark at the plugs or the points, so i replaced my condenser...now i'm going to do points just because...if i'm still getting no spark at the points, the only thing left is the coil, basically, right?

Sounds like no power coming out of the coil.Or the wire from the coil to the center of the distributor cap might have a break.Just my 2 cent.

Check your Ballast Resistor!
I changed my coil, spark plug cable, plugs and the motor still wouldn't run. A new resistor did the job!

There's probably also a resistance test for the coil, both primary and secondary windings, if you happen to have a voltmeter.

With a start problem like this, ballast resistor is always the first place I start too. As a matter of fact, I carry an extra in the glove compartments of all my cars.
Several times in the past I've shut a car off on a road trip and found it would no longer fire when I came back. In all cases except once when it was an ignition module, the ballast was the culprit.
