Thanks for the response  . I hope you didn't think I was asking you directly. Looking at my images, I think you're right. The ones I took with my phone sideways are showing in the correct orientation. The ones I took holding my phone straight up are showing sideways.

I'm still plugging away. I got the replacement crossmember welded in and in epoxy. I also hit the inside of the frame rails with epoxy, as far as I could. I then installed the front floor pan. I just need to grind the plug welds. I also have the rear foot wells in just for fitment check. I need to drill some holes in them for plug welds, grind coating off where it will be welded and get them in.

Still getting things done. I got the rear foot wells welded in. I just have to grind and sand the welds. Hopefully I’ll be able to start getting the firewall in soon. Thanks for looking!

CT, will you be putting in a 4 speed hump? or leaving it an auto tranny?

Any thoughts on putting in frame connectors?

Yes, I’m planning on putting in a torque box set form US Cartool or similar.

I would assume the US cartool one will be good - I know they will be thick steel as their chassis stiffeners are.
I bought my torque boxes from Restorick.

But my question to you was are you going to install frame connectors? or are you going to buy the complete chassis stiffening kit from US cartool?

Making progress: I started mocking up the firewall from AMD. It this the an E body piece that is supposed to be correct for B bodies with AC. It is very close but, there are a few differences:

These mounting tabs are different, so I removed them:

Also, there’s a center tab that’s not correct:

The biggest difference is the top flange that mounts to the cowl. I had to remove this flange from my original and weld on:

I’m waiting to do the final weld-in of the firewall until I get a new windshield. I want to make sure the flange I welded on is in proper alignment with the cowl and windshield. I don’t want any bad surprises!

Here’s the firewall and cowl mocked up. I need to do some more repair work on my cowl:

I also replaced the lower section of the driver’s windshield frame which many have done on this site.

Yes, more than i thought there would be. Thanks for the compliment.

This weekend I replaced the left cowl side piece. I tried patching my original but I was chasing blow-throughs in several spots. I decided to purchase a cheap Goodmark replacement panel that fits the cuda/challenger. I took a gamble hoping it would be close for my needs. It wasn’t too bad. Mostly I wanted the panel for the circle punched into the panel.

I cut off what I needed. The circle was further over to the right on the repopped panel so, I had to cut it to fit properly

And then I welded it in and put a new flange on it:

I also got the firewall in. I purchased a spot welder from Harbor Freight to make the job easier:

I’m going to wait until I get my new windshield from ECS (6-8 weeks) before I install the cowl. I want to make sure the windshield fits properly before welding everything solid. I have plenty more work to keep me busy until then.

I also replaced the cowl to fender brackets with AMD E-Body ones. They are almost exact. The only difference is that they are about 1/4” narrower than the originals.
