Basin Street Blue, aka Richard Petty Electric Blue!

Or how about this for a really, really, unique color...even if it sounds odd & perverted....

Roadrunner Horn Purple!

It would certainly "turn heads" and possibly even a few stomachs!

I'd order up an orange 440+6 4-speed car with an air grabber and the orange and black interior... and throw a stripe over the roof for good measure. I've always loved that combo!

Do I even need to post for people to know my answer? ;) Yea, for me it would be GB5 with a black interior and a black strobe stripe. ;D

Second though would be a Lemon Twist car with a Winchester interior - never seen one, but know it was an available combination. Bet it would have looked awesome.

Of course, there's something about a blue (B5 or B7) with a white interior, or even a white car with a blue interior.

Great subject to daydream about:-D

I would have gone with a white HEMI Roadrunner, green interior with Buckets, Roadrunner Rally hood and last but not least I would have gotten the "not an original option" green c-pillar strobe stribe to match!
All rounded up nicely with a brand new set of DOW-7 gold slot-mag Halibrands. Just did a fast Photochop!

Let me see, it's kinda a hard choice. How about a '71 GTX white on white on white, hemi, 4-speed, 410dana, all available options except air, Wow what an expensive car that would be.

Fun topic! I've always liked black trim and stripes against the awesome mopar colors. Maybe someday I'll get rid of the vinyl top, do the whole car in Vitamin C Orange with black stripes, black wing and black window louvers. I think it would look mean, if not correct, lol. Plus, in Fla we can tint the windows pretty dark. Ya know, there are programs out there in which you can take a picture of a room in your house, and the program will "paint" the walls different colors. Wonder if there's anything like that for cars?

No time machine. But I am trying to decide what I would do if a certain car ends up in our shop next week. :fingerscrossed: :D See in 1972 when I was born I was brought home from the hospital in a 1971 Plymouth Satellite that was EF8 green with green bench seat interior and a column shift. And I almost want to duplicate that. HOWEVER the other side of me thinks that since I want a RR and can not afford one I should save the car for later (when money is not as big of an issue) and build it as a I would have ordered it new! Which I still don't know how exactly I would want it.

I already have my 71 SSP, and I really LOVE the way it came from the factory!!! But I was thinking something like 440+6 with four speed and something like FJ6, black strobe stripe with white interior and the aftermarket airgrabber setup!!! Or maybe GY3 with white interior??!

hmmm....so many to choose....most likely a 440+6 with a 4 speed, dana rear end, buckets with no console, tach, i'm thinkin standard bulge hood (non-air grabber), performance hood stripes, taillight stripes, strobe stripe, front and rear spoilers, disc brakes, power steering, maybe rubber bumpers...now for colors...

well, i'm a sucker for blue, so b5 for me, but i have a dilema...i love color, so sassy grass, vitamin c, black, white, or plum crazy.

o ya...and definitely a sun roof...and since i'm in iowa, i'll be needing a block heater and rear window defogger lol

That's awesome! I was brought home from the hospital as a newborn (also in 72) in my parents GF3 Satellite Coupe - black interior, bench seat, column shift car. I'd say that event plus the fact we had that car in the family until 1985 is the reason the Road Runner Nest exists at all. :) Really cool to see someone else was started early with the love of these cars!

FWIW, in 2005 when my daughter was born, we brought her home from the hospital in my 71 SSP, so the tradition continues to the 2nd generation. :)
