Hello all!

Post by NHFD189 » Tue May 23, 2006 9:00 am

Just thought I'd say hello being the new guy here!
I am the owner of a 73 Road Runner and I have had the car since 94.
It started when I was 18 as a quest to find a Barracuda with only $3,000 in my pocket. Quickly I realized that Cuda's where out of my price range and I "settled" for my car that I found on a tack board with a picture that read "73 Runner $2,800" I fiqured the car will get me through college and then I'd sell it, never did I think that 12 years later I'd love the car!
It started off life as a faded red runner with a beat up 360 and through the years i have dropped a 340 4bbl bored 30 over, 3500rpm stall converter, automatic shift kit and Posi rearend. Then i decided to wrap the car in a bright Lemon Yellow paint job!
I am looking forward to trouble shooting issues, helping out where I can and just plan shareing stories of these 70's Runners.

Mike

Always nice to meet a fellow 73/74 b-body lover. I had a red one like that years ago, then sold it when I unexpectedly produced offspring (she really liked the car, lol). Sold it in 93 and missed it ever since. I just recently picked up a 73, and am still going over it to figure out what it needs. Got pix if you're interested. gregstpie@aol.com

Beautiful car bro, and welcome to the club!

Hi Mike- glad to see you made it! For those unfamiliar, Mike is the fellow I mentioned in my intro post from DF with the sweet '73 Runner. Having seen the car in person at Carlisle last year, I can say it's as sharp in person as in the pics. (I never knew it started out red, either, until now.)
