Hey Harvey,

Welcome to the nest. As I see you've read the threads and know how much we like pic's, I won't repeat it. :)

No problem with the chargers. I've had my share of them myself. Nice cars too.

speakin of nests...

well, ya' asked for pictures.. :D

Im kinda new to the avery and i have some questions...
One is...
Where does the '71 340 RR fall in the hirarcy of Runners?..
I have read there were only 1,681 built and few survive with their 340 intact as most were replaced with 440s, 360s and 383s.
That's one reason i snapped up this numbers matching example.

Another is what does a 340 pie plate look like?.. as mine is MIA..

now I'm asking you for pics....
Thanks!

That is really gross. We found a huge nest in the center console of my pickup. I was unaware that the center seat opened up, so I guess it's good somebody else thought of it. The worst thing ever was when I went out to start my satellite. Went out to the garage like normal, put the key in and the buzzer started. Then the initial surge from the motor. becuase of that, a couple nasty, squeaking, slimy, pink baby mice fell out from under the dash. Probably the nastiest thing ever. I already hate mice enough. Disgusting critters... live in their own waste and yuck!

From what I hear, the 340s aren't very numerous, so probably fairly rare. I've seen a few in pictures, but never in person. I think you can look up how many were produced, then divide that by at least 2, because of wrecks, junk yards, motor swaps, etc. Kinda like the cuda 340 -- everybody wanted the 383, 440,or Hemi and not the 340, but I would have bought one gladly back when. No matter what, though, you always come out good with a mopar. Kinda like the cuda 340 -- everybody wanted the 383, 440,or Hemi and not the 340, but I would have bought one gladly back when.

and felt i couldn't let the opp. get away..
sometimes life is just like that.

The 340 was the second most common engine with 1681 ( per the tech archive section here) still a far cry from 11,000 + 383's
