I'll go ahead and post the image here for you, but everyone should check out his page. It's got a good story about the car.

Hope you find it! I know I'm still looking for my parent's Satellite.

Dave,

Thanks so much! It means a lot to see our Road Runner on the site. My mother, father, brothers and I went to hell and back in that car. I have so many memories...

I only got to drive it once - when I was seven! I sat im my Dad's lap and steered while he worked the peddles. I was only able to take it around the block, but it was the best road trip I ever took...

I was 10 years old when we sold it.

Thats a very cool pic...love the old photo's.

I'm surprised in this day and age, with a VIN number, a person can't find a certain car. We need a DMV employee.lol, Brian

I'll have to get the photos of my dad's white '72 posted here tonight. It was an slapstick automatic, w/ a 340, air grabber, hood pins, rally wheels, bucket seats, vinyl top, and rear deck lid spoiler. The old Polaroids are blurry but you can make out the car. I have had a thing for the 4th gen roadrunners but never knew why, I wasn't born when he had his and never got to see it. I just recently saw pictures of it now that I have a RR clone (he spent a week looking for them) and only knew that he had a 70's Trans-Am (the last one w/ the round headlights).

I owned a 72 RR, alpine white (EW1) but as much as I remember it was an original 400-Auto car... still got the fendertag data on my PC... but don't think that's the one you are looking for, although someone told me just around 140 where build in EW1!
I also wish I could track down the original owner of my 72 RR GTX since it always was a NJ car... ;(
72 RR GTX, No. matching 440, 68 727, body TX9, B5 interior, got doorsticker, but no buildsheet
72 Satellite 318-Auto, all No.matching, with buildsheet

Both cars tasting now swiss cheese ;)

Sent it to me in an e-mail and I'll pop it up on my web hosting site and post it and the link to it here if you want.

ccb-v2 ....awesome pictures! When were those pictures taken? Is that original paint and Air Grabber? I've had discussions about if paint behide the Air Grabber dome is correct for 72' Road Runners. I think that it was, except when you ordered the V21 & V25 stripes it didn't have the behind he dome paint. It was not the same for 1971 it was an option on 1971 Road Runners and GTX's with the V21 performance hood paint option.

Here's a photo of a friend of mines 1972 Road Runner (almost exactly like yours) white 340 4v N96 V21 V25 ..original paint and no paint behide the dome with V21 stripes.

Also since we are sharing photo of our old cars ....here's me and my 1970 Super Bee circa 1982 senior year high school. Dig the hair?!

Steve- The white RR was my Dad's from 72. The paint behind the air grabber was there when he got it. no external mods, just engine mods and a tach on the console.
