Thanks sdweatherman and 71beeper! I’m finally starting to think that there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.

After work, I was able to spray a few coats of Lizard Skin on the inside of my quarters.

Cowl is in. I sprayed the back side and top of firewall with epoxy before welding it in. I also sprayed the inner fender supports with epoxy before welding them in. I also had to add about a 1/4” to each hood hinge mount so that they fit against the cowl and kept the original measurements.

Re: sorta new
I’m still plugging along. I replaced both end caps and a section of the driver’s side outer rocker. The end caps are not reproduced so I had to fabricate my own. I also ended up replacing the passenger’s side lower splash shield as mine was dented pretty bad. I tired fixing it but no luck. I took a gamble on the AMD E-Body replacement part as it looked pretty close to mine. Turns out, they are almost identical. I had to add some material to the top flange as it was a bit short and tapered off from right to left. I also replaced the lower radiator support with an AMD piece. I had to add the flanges that mount to the inside of the frame rails as these are missing from the AMD part.
