Not a thing in the world to be jealous of! I've owned this car since 1988 and have been working on it on and off the whole time. I've had the front fenders off more times than I can count (hit two deer with it). So there are some things on the car I could probably take apart blindfolded! Not only that, but in SPITE of all this work the car is STILL not "finished" and probably never will be!

bruce wrote:Bobbie bought those 17s for me, so there's no going back on that one! She snuck out and bought them at Carlisle last year after we had gone around looking at other cars and talking about what wheels I liked and which ones I didn't. I flat out told her I'd love some Torque Thrusts for my car but I couldn't afford them. Then she comes wheeling a wagon back with 2 17 x 8" and 2 17 x 7" TTs on it...

She told me, "these wheels come with ONE condition." and I thought, oh crap she's going to want some jewelry! But then she said, "the condition is, we're going to bring the car here NEXT year." I about lost it and told her that grown men weren't SUPPOSED to cry at car shows!

For what it's worth, Bobbie told me she has now learned NOT to give me challenges like getting this car done in a year! She thinks I nearly killed myself and her too! To add to this we also fixed up an old house and moved and my mom had major heart surgery and I was gone for that too--all the while this car was going back together. I'm getting too old for this junk.

Smellslike, the car doesn't look all that different on the outside, but it got a new engine, the engine compartment repainted, new brakes, new front end, new rear suspension, powder coated k-frame and components and it got subframe connectors. A lot of this was thanks to help from the guys at US Car Tool! http://www.uscartool.com.

Bruce:

Nice job on the car! to Bobbie for buying the wheels, looks great. She did goood. Didnt know you had that interior. My interior is the exact same 8) .

I know what you mean by how long you've had the car and eager to get it going. My car has bben in the family since '84-'85. Passed down to me, I'm now getting around to getting the old girl back together.
