And no C16 code, but obviously factory console equipped.

I noticed that as well....... as soon as I saw that tag I ran all the options but then again its a windsor car.

Here is a few photos of original 1972 RR's w/ N96 a V21/25.
Notice no black paint behind the fiberglass Air Grabber dome.
This photo also shows Air Grabber lettering on a 1972 air box lid ... factory for 1972 N96 cars?
Notice how if the paint continued behind the dome it would not run parallel to the V21 stripe (so it was not painted from the factory).
Side note ... V21 V25 stripes were available on any 1972 Plymouth Satellite 2-door.

I'm thinking fender tag typo. Wouldn't be the first time.

I see C12 codes on 72 tags all the time. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

So what about the lack of a C16? Is that normal for 72?

I've not seen one with both C12 and C16 on the same tag. Don't recall (and don't have any info in front of me) what the C12 designates.

According to two sources I have, C12 is "Shoulder Belts"
I've got pics of a couple of 72 tags at home. I'll check them tonight.

Ok, I have to take back an earlier statement. I have quite a few on record that have both the C12 and C16 on the tag. ALL C12 cars I have are Winsor built. This may be a Winsor only thing. Winsor did code the C16 on the tag when appropriate.

Okay, last highjack post on the C12 "controversy". Here's another Windsor car with the C12 AND C16.
Yet another FE5 N96 car. Popular combination in 72.
Don't know much about this particular car. It was on Ebay over six months ago.

Yeah sry for hijacking your thead but I'm learning stuff.... that last tag 471magnum posted was the 1st time I saw a E68 and D14 code so I had to look those up. =)
{edit} Weird after looking at around it lists the D14 = 3-Speed Manual Column Shift and it was only avail on 225 and 318 engines only?????? ??????

That's a D34, not a D14.

OK ...So, Is it possible to get a console from the factory without it being on the fender tag?, Such as in this case?
