Not to mention filling up that flat front passenger tire.

I think Ian, that we agree on a number of points. The basic body of these care is what I like.

I do like the full range of cars form RLs, very basic, through the GTX. My favorite being 1972 RR / GTX.
I like to see a completely original Satellite. Maybe with some custom wheels, but not much else. There is not a lot of original ones left out there getting restored to specs.

I don't have a problem with cloning, as long as you're not taking a mint original Satellite apart. There are so many different versions. They all got a soul! (or as close as a car can get..LOL) :)

I will scour Craigslist and Ebay until I find a 1972 J-3, Meadow Green Satellite Sebring, bench seat car..with white interior, as that is decriptive of my first car (No longer exists :( )

JMO, but i actually have a preference for the satellites...everybody's heard of roadrunners, some of gtxs, but very few know what a satellite even is...to me, a satellite is kind of a gtx without the 440 or hemi, and with today's technology, you could easily build up that stock 318 or 383/400, maybe even opt for a 360 or a stroker small block and have a great sleeper. my car may not look like it now, but i love plain jane cars, so mine (eventually) will be B5, painted white roof, chrome bumpers and trim, argent grille, restore my slot mags, and dual exhaust with turndowns - the 440 is a giveaway, but without callouts or decals on the fenders, and SS emblems all around, maybe able to fool some

i do like the runners and x's but the stripped-down birds are my favorite...solid color, no stripes hood pins or spoilers, standard hood, steel wheels (or rallyes), standard round mirror, chrome bumpers, bench seat, and a 3 or 4 speed manual trans BEAUTIFUL

Yeah I think I need to replace my 440 callouts with some custom 4 Cyl callouts for the sleeper effect. 8)
