Nick, it wasn't so much about a present deal but more about a couple I already lost. I was too slow coming up with deposit money and lost the deals. Until now, I've been putting the money towards credit cards and trying to get things paid off, but then I screw myself out of the aforementioned deals. I think I'll keep some of it each time instead until I have a "pool" as someone above mentioned. Then there's no credit card use, and the cash is there as needed without coming out of the family funds. And I get to keep my car!
