Actually, that's what a fair amount of owners do. They open the door, sit on the ledge, and (try to) drive holding the pedals and the wheel from the side. Looks utterly ridiculous to me, just preening and attention-getting. I had to actually parallel-park a few times and while tricky, any fairly competent 'driver' could do it with his butt remaining in the driver's seat like a normal person.
But guys - really - that car is really one case where THE DREAM IS BETTER THAN THE REALITY. Of course I can't say I regret the experience - expensive as it was. But in-life - call me a cynic but in some things - it really is better to dream about it. Not to get too whimsical, but I believe that achieving all of one's dreams can lead to despair and emptiness. And that said.... This Road Runner is VERY LIBERATING!! And you want to know something else? Down here in South Florida - it gets AS-MUCH or MORE approval than the Lambo did. You SEE a Lamborghini Gallardo every day here. You see a Murcielago about once a month. The last time I saw a 71/72 Road Runner down here was at a car show, 10 years ago.
AND - you CAN back this one up EASILY!!

"i find that if you don't have any goals, you can never be let down" that's from Dodgeball LOL
when i was younger i wanted a viper, but they're definitely not practical and i got to sit in one and rev her up a bit, so that's mk with me. i think it would be cool to have a 50s (i think a 58 is the one i like) Ferrari roadster. we'll see how everything goes, but if i can, i MAY consider trading my stang for a new challenger...but, if i just keep the mustang, i'll be done paying for it sooner, aka more money to put into the satellite

If i was to ever have a fun project,id get a 60s mini copper wagon/pickup,or ford escort, volvo, and put a turbod 4 cylinder in it,roll cage it,dress it up like a real rally car, make a rally track in my woods and drive it.
