all of them :D

the GTX was the 440 or the 440 was the GTX

1971 was the last year of the GTX . in 1972 the road runner with a 440 became a road runner / GTX . also 72 was the last year for the 440 4 speed
1973 - 74 440 road runer / GTX only came with an automatic

production # for the road runner / GTX

1972 = 374 i think
1973 = 117
1974 = 79

the production # of 749 440 GTXs made in 1973 i belive to be a false because the 749 # is the production # for the 400 4spd

i just make them up to sound smart :D

really though

the CHRYSLER red book and other books , the internet . ect

nothing is writen in stone

but i have came to the deduction that the #s i stated for 72-74 are the real production #s
as for the 73 749 # as i said i belive that to be the # for the 400 4spd that did find and cant remember where i found it . anyway i think GG didnt research in depth the production #s for 73-74 because i think he could care less and just over looked the 400 and mistook it for 440

total shipments for 1974 road runner 400 hp and 440 hp

400 4bbl auto 830 road runner

400 4bbl 4speed 280 road runner

440 4bbl auto 386 road runner gtx

I'm not sure where you got your numbers from, but there appears to be a few more than 79 cars.

the DODGE & PLYMOUTH MUSCLE CAR RED BOOK shows 117 1973 rr/GTXs made and 79 1974 rr/GTXs made witch i tend to belive because these cars just do not exist in other words they are just rare although the #s do sound very very low and when compared to the the 73-74 CHARGER 440 HP U code car production #s they are majorly dwarfed .

ive been searching EBAY , TRADER ONLINE , DEALS ON WHEELS , CRAIGSLIST ect ect for the last 6 years and rarely do these cars show up anywhere a majority i have seen on EBAY and thats about it and that totals less than 50 GTXs between 73-74 .

i would think that if the 749-386 #s were fact would i see or know of more of these cars ? also between a ton of MOPAR web boards that i belong to there are less than 10 73-74 GTXs .

so if the 749 and 386 are true and that =s 1135 . ive seen around 60 where are the rest of the 1075 cars ?

hell there were 1920 SUPERBIRDS made and a great percentage are accounted for .

the # just dont jive
