Thanks for the comments.
I see lots of other cool Mopars in here. Great cars.
Yes, I found the sequence # on the wildshield tray just under the weatherstriping on the drivers side. I was glad to see it matched my VIN and fender tag / build tag. I am aware thr car once had a canopy roof. I don't miss it though. This car also once had hood pins and the restorer replaced the hood with a non pin hood. I might like those back.
Are you guys close to Raleigh, NC?

Gorgeous car Dale! NEAR Raleigh? I'm in Liberty and work some weekend hours at US Car Tool in Raleigh. You should come by the shop there. John (the owner) is a cool guy.

GW3 Paint Code Alpine or Bright White and a Plumb Crazy Car
Wow, there are a lot of nice cars here. Any Road Runner, Satellite or Mopar is a nice car in my book. One day I want to buy a Superbird clone to drive around. There's a guy in SC that builds decent ones for around 30K. Maybe get a newer 5.7 Hemi from a wrecked Magnum or Charger and stick in it.
The fender tag says it is GW3 paint which should be Bright White or Alpine White depending on the tag decoder or the options in the 1971 B Body sales brouchere. Most likely 2 names for the same thing. At any rate my car is not totally correct per the fender tag but I looked for one that had most of the stuff I wanted. The 440 was big and it had the be a manual floor shift car. Bucket seats, Go Wing and Chin Spoilers...if they weren't there and I found a great car I would definitely have had to add them. Rallye Wheels, is there a better wheel for this car? I had to have the tranverse stripe and graphics. The Power Moon Roof put me over the top. This was not an option I had to have but it did make a large impact especially after seeing the receipts for the rebuild of it from Ohio. I have power steering but you still have to manhandle this car. City traffic in this car is tense because it's very touchy. She smooths out around 70 MPH. This is non AC car and that's is fine with me. Same with the AM radio and small add on FM converter descretely under the dash. It was there when I bought it so it stays for now. The 440 is making the music I want to hear anyway. The engine compartment, trunk and interior are also very clean and nice. The paint is definitely a driver paint job. If I ever get this done I know who I will hire and have them paint under the car, the supports to the bumper and the engine compartment as well as the auto itself. I hired him to paint my sons Honda Accord Rice Rocket Plumb Crazy Purple and he did a great job. He also mounted a wing and body kit very well also.
I know this is not a Mopar but it is a Mopar Color.

Welcome to the 'nest! Great looking car.
Did you happen to get it in Wake Forrest, NC? There was a sunroof GW3 car there for sale about a year ago.
If this one's different, I'd love to see the fender tag.
IMHO rallye's are about he best wheel on these cars. If I were you, I'd change to the correct 71 center caps (the ones on there now are 72 and later)

I might take you up on the center caps. I need to study that a bit. This car also has a nice matching tire and rallye wheel for the spare. I guess I'm set up more like a GTX than a RR since there was no 71 with a 440-4 to my knowledge. I've looked into some 6 pack setups and don't know if it's wort all the trouble when the performance wouldn't really improve much. If you go the Air Grabber route with a retro fit we're getting close in $$ to doing what is even better, just buying a 426 Hemi crate and sticking it in there.
This is the car that generated lots of attention last year starting in Janurary off of E-bay. I run a business on E-bay selling vintage and my own custom line of guitars etc. so I spend lots of time there. I have a personal collection of around 35 guitars, mostly Made in USA vintage Fenders. I was 1 1/2 years into looking for a Runner and noticing the escelating prices and went out and looked at it then. It was nice, never advertised to be matching, but with lots of great stuff. It was a little high at the time but I expexcted this. This car has a high performance cam and build kit plus headers so she's super fast. Documentation on all work was included. The broker and his partners dissolved their partnership and went out of business. A few months later and I called his cell # to see if he was still representing the car. It was a consignment item. He informed me he was getting a new showroom up and running in a few months and yes, he could sell the car if I was interested. Knowing that he might like some pocket money with no sales being generated I convinced my wife that this was the time to do a road test and back that up with a strong offer if I wanted the car because I would never have a better buying advantage than at that time.
We did and I was able to get a very nice car at a very reasonable price.
I'm convinced if she had ever got back in his new showroom the price would have went up, not down. I've visited his new showroom and he has got some nice cars there. A '73 340-6 Chalanger sublime, new resto $45K, '71 matching # 383 / 4 Speed Cuds $65K resto by the same gentleman in Sanford, NC...both great cars.
But, this really isn't about cars or guitars. It's about dreams.
I get chills every time I see an old drug addled Dennis Hopper standing in the middle of a desert highway telling me a dream is a powerful thing.
You're damn straight it is.
Us baby boomers can reach our dreams, even the ones we haven't had yet so Rock On fellow Mopar fans.
