Oh yeah, that one IS a 383... but this one isn't. Sorry I couldn't make this image larger, but take my word for it, it says 440+6 on the hood!

And, even better, an image inside the magazine shows this car has a console 4-speed! This is the October 1970 issue, I went back in the time machine and picked it up...

That RR on Car Craft mag looks fantastic with them fat slot mags on!
It looks like the interior is red too, was that actually an option in '71? -or is it a concept or custom car?

Nah, it's got the orange and black interior... the slots sure give it that period look. Can't tell ya how many I remember seeing looking just LIKE that back in the day.

Yeah, I'm the geezer here! I bought my first Mopar in 1974! And I still have a drawing board that I doodled the rear end of a '71 Road Runner on when I was in junior high--probably about the time the cars were new. Must have been a premonition, huh?

Okay, it's crude, but remember, it was junior high. But it IS recognizable!

Lets not get into Geezer talking because I have you all beat.
Not only did I walk into the dealer in 1969 and buy a new Charger off the showroom, I was driving a 62 Pontiac catalina convert in 67.....

In 1974 I bought a '70 Challenger SE for $1,050. It was a 383 2-v car with a slapstick... Man, how I'd love to have that one back!
