Nope -- I put the tranny in first.

Thanks all...it's coming, slowly, but surely. I hope to have it running/driving right around New years -- my son is really getting antsy.

New windshield this morning, interior is mostly in (minus the column and kick panels), brakes are all on (not bled yet, though :frown:), my son thinks he's stealing my back wheels off my Demon , pass side header is in (DS either tonight or tomorrow :hammer:). Should be ready to run by this weekend!! :drive:

Believe it or not...L60-14's!! They're on a set of widened 14x9 rallies. They're normally on my Demon, but we (my son and I) decided to try them out to see how well they fit on the SSP.

BTW -- I LOVE the front spoilers you put on yours!! Are they just 71/2's and how well did they fit? I wanted to do the same on my son's. I think they'd look killer on there and be one more touch to break up the red.

Lit the candles on Sunday afternoon!! WOO HOO!! Had some issues initially with it only running on 6 cyls (#3 and #8 were not firing...long story) -- but once I got her running on all 8 -- SUHWEET!! Now I need to get her through AZ emissions and get some plates and insurance.

First time she's been turned around in the driveway...under her own power!! :D

Looks great!! What kind of issues did you have with the driver side header? I am in the middle of getting mine on and am having lots of problems between the starter and steering coupler. Are you running a mini starter? I am afraid that's what I am going to have to go with. Thanks

Yes, I'm running a mini starter. I had to ding the piss out of #'s 1, 3, & 5. Here's a few pics. #1 still needs some tweaking...it's still touching my starter. Pass side was a breeze with no tweaking at all!!

Thank you very much for the pics, looks just like my does, I finally got the stock starter in, but it is hitting as well. Is your column a 74 one? I have the big coupler with a rag joint in it and it is hitting as well, here is a pic of it, not with the firewall done, but when I got the car. Tried to put a pic in, but says I have exceeded my 500 kb upload limit. I have not put any pics on lately, I will keep trying. Thanks again!!

Yeah, my column is a '74 floor shift one I swapped in place of the '73 column shift that was in it. :D

I think I will do that as well, I had one and sold it as it looked like it was diffrent where it bolted to the firewall. Thanks again for all of your help with the pictures, Car looks great by the way.

BTW -- Phoenix guys -- we'll be heading out to 83rd ave and Beardsley Saturday night. There's a Safeway on the corner there and every Sat night about 200 cars show up. It'll be the first night we've had the RR out there. I'll be traveling with Rick (71autoxr), his brother (with the Cobra) and another buddy of ours, Dick (with a late 60's GTO). If ya can make it...look us up!!
