high back bench seat

Post by hmiller79 » Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:33 pm

Hello,
My 71 roadrunner has a high back split bench seat with fold down arm rest option code p3x9. I believe a lot of the satellite broughams had these seats. I have seen only one other roadrunner with this seat option. I am looking for replacement seat covers but can not find any for it. Is any one familiar with this option, and is there a company that makes these seat covers? Thanks. :help: UPDATE: I actually found a pic of the exact seats that are in my roadrunner. This 1971 GTX has the exact seat covers that I do.

You can send your your originals to Legandary and they will copy them for you.

Cool, 'cause I just ordered a brand-new rear seat cover from R/T Specialties for $50 (yup, $50!), and was hoping that Legendary can help match it unless it already is a match.

The problem is, I have a white interior, so I ordered the white version. The part where you sit is white, but the surrounding part (bolsters?) and middle part is sort of an off-white, as are the buttons. I don't know if this is normal for cars with white interiors or not, but I'm sure Legendary can match the off-white on the bolsters. That would be cool.

The story with R/T Specialties is that they bought up old Motor City Originals seat covers and it's stock he's trying to get rid of, so if you're doing black interior and need a rear seat cover for cheap, I'd say for $50, you can always throw it away when done and get a Legendary if there's an issue. Not saying they're inferior quality, I never had a Legendary seat cover, so I don't know any different (the seat quality looks fine to me). Plus it's in the back and who ever sits back there, lol...
