slightly off topic Q

Post by aerodynamic » Wed Sep 05, 2007 6:32 am

Hi all.

Knowing as I do that my esteemed colleagues here come from a wide variety of backgrounds, I was hoping someone could help me. I bought a Sony video camera and unfortunately it records on small tapes. It has standard a/v (rca?)cables and hooks up to any vcr or tv with those inputs, but I'm trying to figure out how to load movies onto my PC so that I can put videos of my car on the web.

Any ideas greatly appreciated!

You need to have an RCA input on your video card (on the computer)

I have one of those combo vcr/dvd burners that I can burn my old vcr tapes to dvd.it also has rca jacks built in that I just plug my camcorder into, then I burn a dvd .I have 2 dvdrw/r players in my computer that I can play the dvds and record them to my computer. Theres probably a more direct way but you would have to buy more hardware.Like a video card with the jacks built right in. 8)
