eBay 1972 Roadrunner
Tried to put this in the appropriate conference but only mods allowed there so maybe they can move this over to where it belongs.
I sent the guy an email with all sorts of questions. The 20M seems pricey for an car with little or no real information of it's becoming a 440 when it was a 340 to start with. Pix are OK but really lacking in much good detail.
Anyhow, here's the link

Yeah that and those gawd awful WIIIIIDDDDEEEE hood/fender stripes!Eric wrote:Nice looking paint, but that interior....eewww! Never good when a chevy guy messes with a mopar!
I sent him an email with a bunch of questions about how the car was morphed from a 340 to a 440 and what, if anything, was added due to the extra power. Looks like he kept the original no power drum brakes! Yeah, let's go 150 with no way to stop! Uh, huh!
What do you think of the $20,000 minimum bid? Seemed a little pricey to me but I'm really not a expert on such things. I guess if somebody's willing to pay, well go for it!
God made crap...Chevy put wheels on it!

it ends on the 27th....$1376 and the seller lowered the reserve....WOW, thats about as much as I paid for my car!
It's a fine line between a hobby & mental illness!

Funny thing about that chevy guy remark.Eric wrote:Nice looking paint, but that interior....eewww! Never good when a chevy guy messes with a mopar!
I ask a few questions about the car trying to determine just what made it worth $20,000. (IMHO it's no where close) Anyhow the seller came back with some info and a comment about he was getting offers for a trade...the specific car was a 1968 SS Camaro! Guess that confirms the "chevy guy" concept!
My first clue was in his description... "323 positraction rear end" I've never owned a mopar with POSITRACTION!!!!!72Rdrnner wrote:Funny thing about that chevy guy remark.Eric wrote:Nice looking paint, but that interior....eewww! Never good when a chevy guy messes with a mopar!

And I won't get started again on that mid 80s interior!
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!
Me neither...suffice to say I did NOT make a bid...especially a 20 grand one for a 1972 340 car with a 1969 Charger 440 an no changes to the suspension or brakes. Not to mention his comment about the body panels that were replaced!Eric wrote:My first clue was in his description... "323 positraction rear end" I've never owned a mopar with POSITRACTION!!!!!

Gahhh...but worse (to me) than the 80s interior were those gawd awful hood/fender stripes! Gag me with a spoon! But then I have a '72 with the right stripes and Richard Petty Electric Blue unaltered by pearl!
My eyes were burning so bad I couldn't find my wallet to make that $20,000 bid! Gahhhh...............But not to worry, he will get come chebbie goober to trade him....retchh....or as bill the cat says..."PPPPFFFTTTTT!" as he hurls a hair ball!71440 gtx wrote:my eyes are burning over that interiorand the stripes
