That is; year of production, plant built at and production number.
I sent you a PM with info regarding tag numbers and breakdowns.
If you want the same done for your car please send me your fender tag numbers or a scan of your broadcast sheet.
The number on the radiator frame was the first one I found and has the 2 upside down! The one on the cowl is near the front edge, just above where the cowl to fender struts attach. It was under the rubber hood seal that is clipped to the cowl.

I thought I had sent you a PM with my fender tag info, but apparently it disappeared into the black hole of cyber space...either that or into the black hole on the Potomac known as Washington DC!

I'll try a PM again!

I was considering a new gas tank. In my 2004 catalog they were $216, but now the exact same tank is $683 a three fold + increase. So much for that idea!

I noticed another little thing I'm curious about.

Throughout the catalog there is the red, white & blue Mopar logo with the words "Authentic Restoration Product" with some items. I am wondering if this is something Mopar has started to produce parts and sell them through their dealerships?

Ferris? Anyone? Enquiring minds want to know!
I just got a new made in canada tank for 140.00 if you are talking about the tanks with the sump, you can get the sump from summit racing and have it tig welded on a new tank and save about 400.00.thats what i am doing. And yes you can get these MOPAR parts through a dealer but the prices are about the same.

I never could find a fender, dash or door tag that looked anything like the VIN or any part of it. Talked to a buddy of mine who's a state trooper and he said there were some "hidden" VIN's (whatever that means) that only law enforcement knows about. Apparently this is to help them track down stolen cars that have VIN number alterations.

I found the one on the radiator frame (it was upside down and had two digits reversed) and the cowl. I read an article in Mopar Action that indicated there might be one on the package tray frame somewhere and also inside the quarter panels on the bottom of the cavity where the rear window regulators are, but I never found anything there.

It might be I was looking for something that more closely resembled the VIN number (like on the cowl or radiator frame) and mistook the hidden VIN for a part number.

All in all it was fun just pouring all over the car when it was stripped down to the frame and nothing else.

One thing I did see. Chrysler didn't seem to worried about exact fit of parts they welded together. I suppose it had to do with the more manual technology of the day. On my car the left B pillar is two degrees out of alignment which made putting it back together a bear until I figured it out. The factory just pulled the fender in against the rocker panel and gouged some metal out to make it fit! Naturally I missed the reason behind all that and fixed it up like new again, nice and straight. When I put it back on, it didn’t even come close to lining up! That is when I found the “crooked” B pillar!

Also I found a couple of places where sheet metal was just "bent" to make parts come together and then welded. Not to mention a lot of "extra" welding wire just stuck to the weld itself.

But they did build one helluva bulletproof drive train!
Yeah when you remove the seam sealer from the interior and the trunk you will notice the slop in the floor pan alignment,One of my trunk floor extensions is welded about 1/2" lower than the trunk floor?
