progress pix
Here's a few pix from the weekend's efforts on the floors and trunk, with an old pic of the trunk included. Sandblasting is a p.i.t.a by the way. The shifter will get cleaned up, it's just there for mobility purposes at the moment. My sealer of choice is Rust Bullet. Sorry for the pic size, still trying to get the hang of my jpeg compresser.

Good job
It looks great. I bet the results are worth the effort with the sandblasting.
I should be so ambitious.

I used aluminum oxide 60 grit, and also glass beads. I wore a dust mask when blasting and cleaning, but nothing when putting the sealer on. Should I have been wearing a respirator? Was I supposed to be seeing stars and images of Rosie O'Donnel in a thong when I was painting? I thought that was a little strange. Actually, the car was outside with the doors open and we had a nice breeze.
