Many forum members have probably seen this before, and have posted about it. I'm still in awe of this rendering. I think Chrysler could have made a huge market impact, if this could have been produced in lieu of the reincarnated Challenger. For those who haven't seen it, link and pic attached.

I guess I was to lazy to look. Appreciate reading some of the older posts on this. I also belong to the B-Body forum, so was unaware of this concept car. Don't remember where I saw it first. I did not know a Roadrunner forum existed until a couple of months ago.

they are currently building that car.
micheal Leonnard drew up a bunch of concepts but the roadrunner is my favorite - check out his website, they are on chapter 10 of the build!

Hi Guys!
Quite happy to see the
Road Runner Concept build being discussed on this forum.
My name is Michael Leonhard and i am the creator of the design concept.
Some time ago, after the feature of the design in Mopar enthusiast magazine - King Hardemann sent me an e-mail and told that he wanted to build his Road Runner after my design renderings.
Since then i am constantly in touch with him and doing supervision on the project.
It is very likely that the
car can be finished this year, in
2014.
To follow the complete story feel free to visit my blog.

welcome to the Nest Micheal. I remember the Mopar Enthusiast articles but let the subscription lapse when it changed to Auto Enthusiast. Always wondered what happened to that project.
Great stuff King is doing.

Hmmm....I assumed a build from the concept drawings would start with the new Challenger chassis. A little surprised to see this start from an old road runner body.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!

Well, initially I intended the Road Runner Concept being build on a brand new Challenger chassis. With the bodywork done after the design drawings by industry professionals. But this would have cost nearly 1000K. So thats an awful lot of money.
When King got in touch with me he was in the progress restoring his Road Runner. When he saw the design renderings he decided to build his car as close as possible to the concept sketches.
Making an original Road Runner look like the concept design requires a lot less money then creating the body work around an new Challenger chassis.
