Hi all. I decoded my fender tag from the 73 RoadRunner just bought, and here's how it shapes up. the only thing is, for some reason it seems to show two different tailpipe options, and no axle package?? I decoded it with a program, could this be why?

N41 is the code just for dual exhaust. All by itself it would not have tips (just turndowns)

N42 is the code for adding the chrome tips to the exhaust.

You could have an N41 without an N42, but N42 required N41, if that makes sense.

oh, and your 28 code is the code for a 28" radiator. :)

Thanks for the info Dave. For some reason, I thought the A88 was the axle package. I know it's an 8 3/4, and I assume it's a 3.55, but I just wonder where it shows on the tag if at all. maybe with the 400 it just comes with it? Would that be on the build sheet? I haven't looked to see if it's in the car yet.

the axle ratio should be on the diff tag and if it's sure grip it should have another tag as well.
