I had to laugh at this auction. The guy is selling a 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus, he claims it came with a 440........So a guy called him on it, and this was his reply below. The auction number is there if you care to look it up.

Q: Please send me the VIN# that shows this to be a 440 car. The VIN posted in the listing indicates that this car was originally built with a 318. Thanks, Ray

A: according to what i was told by the owner of this car the vehicle came with a 440;also there is a chance he copied the vin# wrong, and to add a friend with exstinsive knowledge of these cars said that all Satellite Sebring Plus came with a 440 or 383.Also keep in mind the car doesn't come with a motor or trans, but i'm sure the motor and trans is not missing for nothing.

I like the engine compartment shot. It has the smallblock header still wrapped around the draglink.

Oh OH wait!!! I got it. It was equipped withthe SUPER RARE 440 smalblock. Feared but seldom seen.

The car actually might make a decent project body if the frame rails are in good shape.
4th generation B bodys- there is no substitute.

LOL@the smallblock header.....I agree, the car looks decent....but that whole 440 thing is a hoot. I lifted the hood in my Satellite Sebring Plus today, just to see if my 318 turned into a 440.
